About

Hacker, Veteran, Mystic — three threads, one person.

The only constant is Change.

Technology leader who's spent 15+ years at Nike, Whole Foods, the US Army, and indie startups. Currently building Quai-Vault and DAO-Ships on Quai Network. Livestreaming the work in public across Twitch, YouTube, and X.

The tagline — Hacker · Veteran · Mystic — isn't three separate chapters. It's three stances toward impermanence. The Hacker adapts to change. The Veteran was forged by it. The Mystic reconciles with it.

Hacker

Writing software against real problems rather than imagined ones. Shipping full stacks solo when the work calls for it — contracts, indexers, APIs, dApp frontends, native mobile clients, VPN infrastructure, custom OAuth services. Running Gentoo on the bleeding edge as a daily driver because understanding the stack from kernel up is non-negotiable.

Started out on the graveyard shift at a NOC in Denver in 2007 — networks, Linux servers, cybersecurity incident response. That grounding in how systems actually fail is still how I think about every project I touch.

Current and recent work:

  • Quai-Vault — multisig wallet system purpose-built for Quai Network's sharded architecture
  • DAO-Ships — DAO launcher on Quai Network (in development)
  • Skylaski VPN — WireGuard-based service with OAuth, group accounts, and native mobile clients
  • MetaWarrior Army — wallet + passkey OAuth via NFT-minted identities
  • The Mojis NFT Project — full NFT stack on Quai Network

For the long version of the work history, see Experience.

Veteran

Four years active duty infantry with 1-91 Cavalry, 173rd Airborne Combat Team — the Sky Soldiers. Two deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2009–10 and 2012–13). Sergeant (E-5), Sniper Section Leader. German Sniper School graduate, Hammelburg. Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge. Honorably discharged.

First deployment I served as Radio Telephone Operator, coordinating movement of multiple elements under contact and relaying intel to air support and the Tactical Operations Center. Second deployment I led mission planning and execution for two sniper teams, advised leaders on sniper operations, and trained both coalition and Afghan forces.

Mystic

The mystic thread runs through projects like the Mastodon RSS bot under the TechnoMystics org — the belief that technology and meaning-making aren't separate pursuits. More on this forthcoming.

Bunker Labs alumnus (Cohorts 21A and 22A) — the veteran-entrepreneur accelerator. The soldier-to-builder work is ongoing.
